Why Did Marcel Build MoniThor?

MoniThorwas born from a simple frustration: existing Mac system monitors were either too expensive, too bloated, or lacked the features power users actually need. iStat Menus costs $11.99 and hasn't added sparkline graphs or keyboard shortcuts in years. Activity Monitor requires opening a separate window every time you want to check system resources.

Marcel wanted a system monitor that lives entirely in the menu bar, shows live sparkline graphs alongside color coded values, and costs a fraction of the competition. MoniThoris the result: a native Swift/SwiftUI application that monitors CPU, RAM, GPU, battery, network, and disk in real time with a memory footprint under 30 MB.

What Makes MoniThor Different?

MoniThor is built with native Swift and SwiftUI, not Electron or web views. It is optimized for Apple Silicon, detecting P-Cores and E-Cores automatically. The app is available on the Mac App Store for $4.99 as a one time purchase with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
